WHICH PART OF VIETNAM TO VISIT IN AUGUST?

  • NORTH VIETNAM:
  • The average temperature in North Vietnam is around 30 degrees celsius. It is mostly hot. Halong Bay and Hanoi are prone to heavy rains, in fact, August is one of the wettest months of the year in Hanoi. Trekking is also unadvisable during this month due to wet mountains. The best trekking can be possibly done in Sapa and Mu Cang Chai around September to November. 

  • CENTRAL VIETNAM:
  • Generally, the beaches of Hoi An and Danang are the best pick for anyone visiting Vietnam as it has the best weather throughout the month. Nha Trang is also likely to have the best of the weather. Rain is expected more by the end of the month.

  • SOUTH VIETNAM:
  • South Vietnam experiences fewer severe showers. The days are still dry and the average temperature lies around 29 degrees celsius. From mid-August, Green Turtle hatchlings can be observed emerging from the beaches on Con Dao and making their first steps to the sea, absolutely worth seeing!
